Uses:
Menstrual Pain, Irregular or early period, intercostal pain,
abdominal distension, discomfort of chest and
hypochondrium aggravated by emotional upset poor
appetite, restlessness, mental depression, irritability,
belching, indigestion, breast distension or pain, constipation.
Directions:
Take 1-2 capsules twice per day with a cup of warm water.
Clinical Application:
Stress & some stress related disorders including painful
Periods, Dysmenorrhoea, premenstrual syndrome, irregular
menstruation, hypochondriac pain, cholecystitis, pleurisy,
depression, irritable bowel syndrome IBS.
TCM Applications:
Stagnation of Liver Qi causing stagnation of Qi &
Blood.

Remarks:
For constraint of Liver Qi with clumping of Liver Qi usually
resulting in hypochondriac pain. Additional Comment:
This formula is very simple and effective. Because it only
has five ingredients it is often modified or added together
with another formula. Because of this it is formula can be
used in combination with other patent formulas to treat
diseases that have a component of Liver Qi stagnation,
emotional stagnation. It is most commonly used when
there is pain associated with the stagnation.
Warnings:
Cold & Heat patterns, severe Yin or Blood deficiency.
Chronic use of this formula may cause dryness.
